My First Sweater - Winter Version

Single Four-Session class

Tuesdays, September 29, October 6, 13, 20 5:30 - 7pm

The weather’s getting colder, you are getting bolder; why not try your FIRST SWEATER??? In this class, Pam (and maybe another wonderful teacher, if the baby comes...) will help you learn the ins and outs of top-down construction, including simple increases, gauge and how it impacts fit, picking up stitches for underarms, small circumference in the round knitting…and maybe short rows, if you’re really bold!

If those are A LOT of terms, then this is the right class for YOU! You’ll learn as you go with other adventurous beginners. Students should know how to cast on, knit and purl, and knit in the round. We’ll help with the rest!

Feel free to bring your own needles, but we'll want you to knit your sweater in yarn purchased from Great Yarns.

Pattern: Easy Eyelet Yoke Pullover by Knitatude. 
Yarn: Any Aran weight, like Amelie (our sample), Extra, Cotton Merino, Moonshine, Woolstok Tweed, Misty Wool...or be SUPER BRAVE and combine your favorite worsted weight with a mohair!!!
